Chain of events so far:
- My daughter had surgery on her foot last Friday anticipating that we would be around to help out. (We didn't make it, her foot is really sore and could use some help, chasing a two year old on crutches must be a chore!)
- My husband's friend passed away on Saturday. The service is not until Friday. His daughter is flying into Boston tomorrow morning 5:30AM. We are going to go pick her and two of her children up at the airport.
- I decided if I am going to get everything done to go on this trip, be able to help my daughter, see my grandchildren, and make the most of my time off, I need to do it now.
- I booked a flight out to VA tomorrow from Boston, so when we go to pick up the kids, I'll hop out and catch my flight and the kids will hop in and go home with my husband.
I'll leave my husband home to attend the funeral, help the family, pack his own things for his fishing trip to Canada, and take care of details.
So, to bed early tonight to be up by 2:00AM to leave to get to Boston by 5:30AM. My bags are packed, my clothes are layed out for tomorrow, and I am ready for this leg of my journey.
